The Commercial Music Lab is a home-based, fully-operational 6-seat music technology instructional computer lab and classroom in Riverside County, CA. It was founded and created by a commercial music professor and composer with a desire to fill in the gaps for her students in commercial music education. Classes offered at The Lab include traditional audio & MIDI recording using Avid's Pro Tools and Propellerhead's Reason, professional instruction in notation using Avid’s Sibelius software, and several one-day “bootcamp” style courses covering topics such as digital audio and mixing for musicians.  Future courses will be designed around the topic of modern music creation and composition and may include: Commercial music theory, commercial music forms and structures, composition & songwriting, commercial keyboard, writing and composing for various instruments, orchestration, synthestration, and music for media such as film, video, and games.
